About Me

Hey there!

My name's Kat, and you've stumbled across my blog.

I'm 25. I'm an amateur cook who has been in a long-term relationship with food since my mom handed me an egg roll at the tender age of 2. I didn't learn how to cook until the end of college, but once I started, I couldn't stop.

Nowadays I spend a lot of my free time browsing cookbooks and food blogs, and dreaming about my next meal. I also review new cookbooks and have been unintentionally building up a little cookbook collection for quite some time. When I'm not doing food-related things, I'm in med school, studying to be a psychiatrist. And when I'm able to scrounge up enough dollars, I'm traveling to foreign lands and immersing myself in other cultures (and eating their food!).

I've been blogging for over half my life, and yet this is the first time I've splurged a whole $12 on a domain name, so I guess that makes this blog pretty special. What also makes it special is that it's the first time I've combined my two great loves--food and travel--into one blog. My goal with this blog isn't so much to create a travelog or a food blog. It's to write about whatever I feel like writing about, whether that be med school, cool places I've been to, and everything in between.

Have suggestions or comments? Shoot me an email, and I'll be able to respond. I love hearing from readers!

Thanks for stopping by!
